Alex Downey Promoted to Executive Vice President at Annamaet Petfoods

(PRESS RELEASE) HATFIELD, PA — Robert Downey, Founder & CEO of Annamaet Petfoods Inc., an industry leading producer of premium pet food and supplements since 1986, is thrilled to announce Alex Downey has been promoted to Executive Vice President.

A lifelong animal advocate and pet lover, Alex grew up working with dogs. Notably, he won the Junior North American Sled Dog Championships in Fairbanks, Alaska in 2008 and also earned the Bronze Medal for the United States at the International Federation of Sleddog Sports World Championships in Daaquam, Quebec in 2009. Today, with nearly 12 years of experience working at Annamaet Petfoods in various roles over the years, Alex brings his passion for pets, for premium pet nutrition and health, and for the family business to this exciting new role. The son of Annamet Petfoods Inc. Founders Robert and Mary Jo Downey, Alex’s proven business development strategies ushers Annamaet into its next phase of growth and success.

With deep pride for its family owned and operated approach to business, Annamaet Petfoods has been providing optimum nutrition to dogs and cats for over 35 years. Located in Hatfield, PA, the company currently ships products throughout the United States as well as exports to 15 countries. Annamaet has two nutritionists on staff, one being Rob Downey and the other a board-certified veterinary nutritionist, who carefully work together to formulate each Annamaet product. The product line includes 17 dog food formulas, 3 cat food options, a treat line and 5 supplements.
