A dog in Hewitt, NJ, made the news this week for his fearless reaction when he spotted a bear in the neighbor’s backyard.

The bear was raiding Mark Stinziano’s bird feeder, ABC 7 reports.

Riley, a dog who lives next door and belongs to Alan Tlusty, took notice and charged at the bear. The scene was captured on Stinziano’s security video, which he posted to Facebook.

The bear beat a quick path out of the yard.

“Riley-1 Bear-0,” Stinziano wrote.
