Feeders Pet Supply to Enter 6th State With Acquisition of Phydeaux Pet Shops

Feeders Pet Supply announced plans to acquire Phydeaux Pet Shops.

North Carolina will mark the sixth state for Feeders Pet Supply stores.

“I am excited to welcome Phydeaux to the Feeders Pet Supply family,” said Brannon Dixon, CEO, Feeders Pet Supply. “North Carolina is a great extension for us to enter and expand. We look forward to delivering quality products and becoming a trusted partner in the Triangle.”

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Phydeaux is a trio of independently owned pet supply stores in Chapel Hill, Raleigh and Cary, NC. Opened in the fall of 2002, they have been named the Triangle’s favorite pet supply stores for the past 16 years by Independent Weekly‘s annual Best of the Triangle survey.

“It’s tough to walk away from the business that I started 20 years ago,” said Frank Papa, founder of Phydeaux. “I’m proud of how it’s grown, and know that the associates and customers will be in great hands with Feeders Pet Supply.”

The deal marks the third major acquisition for Feeders Pet Supply, which was founded in 1959 in Louisville, KY. The company bought Chow Hound Pet Supplies and IncrediPet Pet Store in the past eight years.
