(PRESS RELEASE) WINDSOR, CO – Intersand America, the global leader in high-quality, ultra-premium clay litter, introduces a new product with innovative technology designed specifically for proactive health monitoring, OdorLock maxCare.

“When you consider that 2 out of 3 cats are at risk of developing urinary diseases, diabetes or other related health issues during their lifetime, it’s evident that a proactive approach to monitoring our cats’ health and wellbeing is incredibly important,” said Intersand President Stéphane Chevigny. “Early detection of these health concerns can help minimize or prevent further pain, organ damage and even death. We’re extremely proud of the technology and veterinarian-backed science behind this new product.”

OdorLock maxCare is an ultra-premium clay litter that contains granules that will turn blue when put into contact with blood and/or glucose in the cat’s urine, which are excellent early indicators of urinary tract diseases and/or diabetes, respectively. This easy-to-use and read process makes monitoring a cat’s on-going health and wellbeing simple for cat parents, plus offers additional peace of mind.

Made with the highest quality bentonite, this technology has also been tested by Blücare Laboratories specialists, and guarantees 40 days of no odor.

With over 30 years as the leading global manufacturer of premium cat litter, Intersand is renowned for its daring innovation and deep respect for pets and their owners. Intersand’s US state-of-the-art production facility is based in Windsor, Colorado. The production facility is strategically connected by railway to one of the main sources of bentonite clay in Wyoming, a main ingredient in Intersand’s cat litter formulas. The facility’s location allows for supply chain efficiency and distribution, making it a driving force behind Intersand’s continued growth and success. With product selling nationwide and in 60+ countries, Intersand continues to learn, grow, and expand as an influential member of the cat litter industry.

“Our customers have come to expect the best from Intersand, and we have no doubt that OdorLock maxCare will be an exciting and popular addition to our line of superior cat litter offerings,” added Chevigny.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
