(PRESS RELEASE) KNOXVILLE, TN — Gearing up for Global Pet Expo, kicking off March 23, 2022, in Orlando, Florida, Kurgo is rolling out five new product releases for dogs on the go and the people that go with them.
Kurgo will be exhibiting at booth #4209 at the pet industry’s premier event, showing a full line of outdoor, travel and essential pet products. From new colors for the award-winning, crash-tested Tru-Fit Harness to the new line of car camping pet gear launching this show cycle, Kurgo specializes in outfitting pets and their owners for outdoor adventure.
“Kurgo has always occupied a nexus between outdoor adventure and auto travel, making it safer and easier to get out on the road with our pets,” said Keith Anderson, associate director of brand at Kurgo. “The Kurgo brand got its start by finding ways to make car trips safer with a high-energy plott hound who just couldn’t stop herself from trying to muscle into the driver’s seat on the way to the trailhead.”
Kurgo’s new Canyon Puffer Pup Sack is a dog sleeping bag that can be used clamshell-style or fully unzipped for maximum versatility. A heat-retaining foil liner sets it apart from less serious dog sleeping bags and travel beds, making it a four-season bag for the heartiest campers. The Pup Sack will be available in two sizes and comes with a small stuff sack for maximum packability.
For avid day hikers, Kurgo’s Cascade Harness Backpack is a full-coverage harness with two leash attachment points, two pockets for essential gear and an integrated poop bag dispenser to help pet owners to be at their best. It’s a faster, lighter option than Kurgo’s pannier-style Baxter Dog Backpack and perfect for less gear-intensive outings. Four sizes and four points of adjustment provide a secure fit, while the foam perforated back plate promotes breathability, and padded chest and belly straps provide comfort. The Cascade Harness Backpack will be available in orange and green.
Kurgo will also be releasing Blaze Dog Socks to go along with its Blaze Dog Shoes. Nobody wears hiking boots without socks because it would be super uncomfortable and terrible – our faithful canine sidekicks should not be an exception. Blaze Dog Socks will be offered in three sizes and sold in four packs.

Also new for 2022, the Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Harness will be offered in eye-grabbing new packaging and in three attractive new colors: ink, purple and charcoal. Same crash-tested security and walking-harness versatility, but with an updated, contemporary color story.
Last but not least, Kurgo has cracked the code of backseat tether compatibility. In the absence of a standard seatbelt buckle, car harness tethers that rely on plugging into seat belt buckles only work for some vehicles but not always all of them. The new Seat Belt Tether with Latch is anchored by way of a universal child seat tether hook (aka the LATCH system), a settled standard in the auto industry and a great way to keep dogs safe, in conjunction with a crash-tested harness.
