(PRESS RELEASE) GREEN BAY WI — Natural pet food brand Nature’s Advantage announced that it is giving away 100 treat pouches to promote the importance of obedience training for dogs during National Train Your Dog Month.

Wisconsin-based Carnivore Meat Company launched Nature’s Advantage in 2019 and recently announced the introduction of additional varieties under the freeze-dried pet food and treat line. The healthy and nutritious treats include Chick’n Hearts, Tender Turkey, Minnows, Really Rabbit, Beefy Bites and Savor’n Salmon.

National Train Your Dog Month was started in 2010 by the Association of Professional Dog Trainers to promote socialization and training. Because many families purchase or adopt pets during the holidays and winter months, National Train Your Dog Month is held in January each year to give new pet owners the information they need to start off the new year with their new pet.

“Training and socializing your dog is not only beneficial to their overall wellbeing, but it can also be fun, especially if you use a tasty reward,” commented VP of sales Melissa Olson. “Our freeze-dried treats are the perfect size to be used as a high value training treat and they’re super convenient to use with a treat pouch.”

The food and treats are made from USDA inspected ingredients custom sourced in the United States. Each variety of Nature’s Advantage food and treats is grain free and Certified Gluten Free. The all natural ingredients come with the added advantage of having a flavor that entices and motivates dogs.

“Our motto is, ‘Train faster, treat better,’” Olson says. “Our treats will have your dog excited for every training session, eager to learn and delighted to please you.”

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
