“We are excited to move forward with the show in October with a virtual format that allows us to continue to build the pet connections community, allowing for retailers to get great show specials (and pre-show specials via our online ordering PreBook Portal), hear from industry leaders on emerging trends and topics that will help their businesses, while offering a way for manufacturers to retain industry market presence and brand recognition, all while staying safe,” said Bill Doherty, ICDevents president and show director.

Rob Correia, trade show manager, added, “We are also very excited about being able to offer an affordable way for manufacturers to generate leads that would otherwise be lost with no face-to-face events happening.  With virtual access to all retailers, the overall volume of leads will likely be higher than the booth traffic of an in-person event.”

Doherty said: “The Virtual Event will allow for the same type of interaction that is available at our face-to-face show and add a lot of fun features. This is a way for the pet community to stay healthy while coming together online to enjoy some great savings before and during the show, as well as the cost savings on travel, lodging and other expenses. The response to date has been tremendous and we are eager to make this happen for the pet community of retailers and manufacturers.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
