(PRESS RELEASE) CHILLIWACK, BC — Petcurean, the award-winning manufacturer of premium pet food brands Go! Solutions, Now Fresh, Gather and Summit, announced it will be debuting its latest product innovation, Go! Solutions Boosters for cats and dogs, at the upcoming SuperZoo trade show in Las Vegas, Nevada from August 16-18, 2023. Go! Solutions Boosters are expertly crafted by Petcurean’s team of qualified nutritionists with irresistible flavour and nutritional benefits.

Recent market research from Packaged Facts shows that wet food toppers are a growing category, and usage is high amongst both cat and dog parents, at 41% and 63% respectively.

Go! Solutions Boosters meet increasing consumer demand for wet food by offering single-serve, single-solution ‘boosters’ packaged in an easy-to-tear pouch to add functional benefits to your pet’s meal. Available in eight different delicious flavours for both cats and dogs, Go! Solutions Boosters for cats provide a complete and balanced meal alternative, while Go! Solutions Boosters for dogs serve as a topper to enhance the palatability of dry food. Both cat and dog recipes can be mixed-and-matched to help support common pet ailments including joint care, digestive and immune health, tranquility, weight management, and brain health.

“At Petcurean, we are wholeheartedly committed to putting pets first in everything we do. All of our recipes and products are innovated with this in mind, including our new Go! Solutions Boosters for cats and dogs, which we can’t wait to introduce at SuperZoo,” says Theresa Lantz, MSc, companion animal nutritionist at Petcurean. “From innovative ingredients like postbiotics and Vitamin E to support the immune system to fibre-rich psyllium husk to support weight management, Go! Solutions Boosters are an easy and convenient way for pet parents to support their pet’s overall health and wellness while also adding variety to their bowl.”

The Go! Solutions Boosters collection includes a total of 16 new recipes, eight for dogs and eight for cats. They will be available for purchase at select retailers in Canada and the US in early fall 2023, and are available in single-serve pouches, 2.5oz for cats and 2.8oz for dogs.

The launch of Go! Solutions Boosters for cats and dogs follows an exciting spring which saw the debut of several new recipes, including:

  • Go! Solutions Sensitivities Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Insect Recipe for Dogs, designed for pets with sensitivities. Made with sustainable, novel insect protein, this innovative recipe offers environmentally-conscious consumers a sustainable alternative protein choice that requires significantly less land and water resources, yielding a smaller carbon footprint than livestock.
  • Go! Solutions Skin + Coat Care Large Breed Puppy and Adult Salmon Recipes with Grains for Dogs, launched in response to growing consumer demand for customized food options tailored to life stage and breed size. These recipes were formulated by Petcurean’s team of nutrition experts with protein from salmon to support strong muscles, glucosamine + chondroitin to support healthy joints, and L-carnitine to support heart health.
  • New and improved Summit collection for dogs and cats, which returned to the Canadian market with a revamped look and feel, and recently debuted in the US. Summit recipes have been updated to elevate palatability, nutrition, and affordability, with Petcurean’s nutritionists sourcing premium-quality animal proteins, fruits, vegetables and grains to create recipes all pets can enjoy.

Also, earlier this spring, Petcurean launched an innovative Learning Management System (LMS), called University of Petcurean, designed to support retailer education and provide them with useful tools to help pet parents choose the best recipes and products for their cats’ and dog’s needs. The platform can easily be accessed on a computer or mobile device, and educates retailers about product formulations, nutritional benefits, and product recommendations.

“Every year, our team looks forward to attending SuperZoo for the opportunity to connect face-to-face with industry peers and retailers, while also getting the chance to check out the latest pet product innovations,” says Trevor Snelling, director of sales at Petcurean. “This year, we’re thrilled to launch our new Go! Solutions Boosters at the show, and to share more about the other products and innovations we’ve recently launched – all of which reflect our dedication to sustainability and putting pets first in everything we do.”

SuperZoo attendees are invited to stop by Booth #1358 from August 16-18 to learn more about Petcurean’s latest innovations. Petcurean’s nutrition expert, Theresa Lantz, MSc, Companion Animal Nutritionist, will also be hosting two nutrition seminars on Feeding Fresh Meat and Digestibility (August 16 at 11:00 a.m.) and Feeding for Sensitivities (August 17 at 3:00 p.m.). NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
