(PRESS RELEASE) Phillips Pet Food & Supplies recently expanded distribution of the Horizon Pet Nutrition line by adding the Legacy brand on the West and East Coasts. Horizon Legacy is now available at Phillips’ Arizona, California (Sacramento and Anaheim), Massachusetts, Oregon and Pennsylvania distribution centers.

Legacy offers super-premium kibble formulas for dogs and cats that are grain-free and potato-free. Legacy kibbles are nutrient-dense and animal protein-rich foods that provide the benefits of a raw diet. The line has an 81 percent animal protein content, with a selection of fresh chicken, chicken meal, salmon meal, turkey meal, fresh eggs and chicken fat. The formulas are rich in essential amino acids and include powerful antioxidants from fresh fruits and raw vegetables.

Legacy’s canine formulas are for puppies to adults, and the cat kibble provides nutrition for all life stages. All Legacy formulas meet the nutritional levels established by the AAFCO.

“Phillips is committed to increasing our assortment of premium pet foods, giving our independent pet customers access to high-quality, in-demand ancestral diets,” says Elizabeth Thibodeau, senior vice president, merchandising and marketing services for Phillips. “We are pleased to expand the Horizon line with Legacy’s innovative kibble recipes, which offer the benefits of raw protein pet foods and align with the humanization trend in the pet industry.”
