(PRESS RELEASE) MONTCLAIR, NJ – Raw pet food takes the spotlight at two panels during the PETS+ Wellness Summit, scheduled for Oct. 1-2, 2019 at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, IL.

“Raw Raw Everywhere, But Which Brands Should I Sell?” will discuss criteria for evaluating raw food brands — from sourcing to support — and selecting the options that are best for your store. Panelists include Gregori Lukas, Certified Pet Food Nutritionist and owner of THEO Pet Grocery in Montclair, NJ; Billy Hoekman, Nutrition Science Director for Answers Pet Food; and Lindsay Meyers, a CVT who works in veterinary outreach for Primal.

“Converting to Raw” includes panelists Lukas, Hoekman, and Janelle Pitula, Certified Pet Food Nutrition Specialist and owner of Wags to Whiskers in Plainfield, IL. The panel of manufacturers and retailers will share how they upgrade pet parents to raw feeding, through staff training, educational seminars and more.

Additional panelists will announced in the coming weeks.

With exhibits and educational sessions scheduled throughout the two-day event (click here for a complete list), the PETS+ Wellness Summit is the first to focus completely on pet health and wellness products as well as expert advice from leaders in both retail and manufacturing. Attendance is free to owners and staff of pet stores and service providers. To register, go to petsplusmag.com/summit.
