4 GPE New Product Winners to Be Featured at Impact Unleashed

(Press Release) BOULDER, CO — The Pet Sustainability Coalition, dedicated to the acceleration of environmental and social sustainability in the pet industry, announced that it will be hosting four of this year’s Global Pet Expo’s New Product Showcase winners at Impact Unleashed. They are Himalayan Corp., Paw5, West Paw Design and Earth Animal.

Both Paw5 and West Paw Design were recognized within the Best in Show category for their products, Wooly Mat and Qwizle, respectively. Earth Animal won Best in Show within the Natural Category for its No Hide Dog Chews and Himalayan Corp. also won within the Natural category for its Ruff Bone.

Each company has demonstrated that adopting sustainable business practices and thus committing to continuous improvement drives innovation. These award-winning companies and their leaders will be sharing their business successes and challenges at Impact Unleashed, a two-day event hosted by PSC on May 4-5 in Denver.

Sujan Kumar Shrestha is CEO of his family’s fast-growing and community-minded Mukilteo business, Himalayan Dog Chew. The company provides 7,000 farmers in the Himalayas (Nepal) with extra income by purchasing their cheese to make healthy pet snacks.

Dennis O’Donnell is the co-founder of PAW5, a pet products brand focused on sustainably manufacturing new and enriching ways for people to feed their dogs. PAW5 products have been recognized extensively for their innovative design and environmental sustainability.

Spencer Williams is the CEO and founder of WestPaw Design, which has grown into a world-class manufacturer of eco-friendly pet toys and beds for dogs and cats and demonstrated demonstrate that it’s possible to make business choices that are positive for both the environment and the bottom line. West Paw Design uses its manufacturing facility to create products out of recycled, recyclable, sustainable and organic materials.

Stephanie Volo recently joined the Earth Animal team as the vice president of brand and communication and is a founding board member of PSC. Earth Animal takes an integrative and holistic approach and its award-winning products are respectfully sourced from farms and produced with purpose in the U.S.
