(PRESS RELEASE) Plato Pet Treats has hired Paul LaRose to serve as the company’s vice president of sales and marketing.

Paul will work to increase awareness of the Plato Pet Treats brand with pet owners and increase support the company provides to you, our independent pet retailers.

In Paul’s own words, “Plato is one of the most respected brands in the industry. I have always seen Plato as a leader in innovation. Plato sources local ingredients and manufactures their own products, which gives them strict control over processes and quality. When you add in their industry-leading customer service and collaborative partnerships with retailers and distributors, you end up with a company that is universally admired and respected. I couldn’t be more excited to join the team and help lead the company in its next phase of growth.”

Paul’s career in the pet industry dates back to 2010, advancing from sales to leadership positions over the past twelve years. His experience and his commitment to keeping his finger on the pulse of the pet industry will allow him to bring great insights and leadership to the Plato team, and to build strong relationships with Plato’s distributors and retailers.

“Paul brings a principled approach to sales and marketing, which is compounded with his thoughtful, methodical, leadership style,” said Plato Pet Treats CEO Aaron Merrell. “I could not be more excited to see what we will be able to build together.”

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
