(PRESS RELEASE) SYKESVILLE, MD — Pet Palette Distribution, a Maryland-based national distributor of premium pet products, has recently expanded its national distribution partnership with Bocce’s Bakery, a manufacturer of USA-made dog treats. The distributor has previously carried a limited number of Bocce’s Bakery products in their seasonal assortments, starting in 2022. But it has now expanded its offering to over 60 of the brand’s best-selling SKUs, which are expected to be available on the Pet Palette Distribution website in mid-January.

“We are excited to expand the national reach of our products with Pet Palette Distribution,” said Marissa Peltz, national sales manager. “Their low minimums and the ability to buy our all-natural, small batch dog and cat treats in eaches will give access to a whole new landscape of independent retailers.”

Bocce’s Bakery was started in a tiny NYC kitchen in 2010 with the goal of eliminating preservatives and unnecessary ingredients in small batch pet treats. They use only the highest quality ingredients in their recipes, such as nitrate-free bacon, freshly roasted peanuts, and antibiotic-free chicken and beef – all of which are sourced in the USA, locally to their bakeries.

“As we enter the new year, we are excited to continue to expand our consumables category with Bocce’s Bakery. We knew from the get-go they were a good match because of how well their seasonal items have fit into our various assortments throughout the year,” said Ron Metzger, Pet Palette Distribution CEO. “The fun recipe concepts they create are appealing to pets as well as their parents because they’re based on the guilty food pleasures of humans.”

Pet Palette Distribution is an independent retailer-focused wholesale distributor, offering low minimums, fast nationwide shipping, and top-notch customer service to the contiguous United States.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
