When Alison Schwartz joined the All Pets Considered team in 2008 as a part-time associate, she never imagined that four years later she would become general manager and in 2024 take full ownership of the store. Looking back, she says, “I just thought it would be a great side hustle while raising my young son.” Now a leader in the Greensboro, NC, pet community through her business and the Doxie by Proxy rescue she founded, Alison unwinds by having fun with friends and family, including husband David, and sons Aidan, now 19, and Cody, 14. She especially enjoys combining family time with community involvement for the stores — Aidan works at All Pets Considered, and Cody will even wear the store’s inflatable mascot costume at events!
