Intergroom Dates Announced for 2019

Barkleigh and World Dog Entertainment announced that next year’s Intergroom dates are set for April 11-14, 2019, at the Meadowlands Expo Center in New Jersey. The 2018 show saw an increase in attendance of nearly 15 percent, making it the 3rdlargest grooming show in the world behind Barkleigh Production’s Groom Expo and Groom Expo West. The show also featured over 100 vendor booths. This year’s GroomTeam USA Sanction winners are Jackie Boulton, Joshua Morales and Angela Menard.Lindsey Dicken won Best In Show and American Best All Around at Intergroom. Nadia Bongelli took home the International Best All Around award and Cindy Oliver dominated the Creative Grooming Competition, taking home the first-place trophy. intergroom.com

Bird Talk Returns

Two former writers and employees of BIRD TALK magazine have resurrected the title, which ceased publication in 2012. Jessica Pineda, former senior associate editor of the magazine, along with Patricia Sund, writer behind the popular Bird Talk column, “Memo to Parker and Pepper,” are now at the helm of the consumer bi-monthly with a new look and a fresh approach. newbirdtalk.com

Certified Pet Care Pros Top 100

With the latest certifications from the Professional Animal Care Certification Council, the number of pet care professionals who have successfully demonstrated their comprehensive pet care knowledge to a third-party testing body has surpassed 100. Pet care providers certified by the council can be found in 26 states and three countries. The next opportunity to become certified will be in October. paccert.org

Boarding & Pet Services Conference

Registration for the International Boarding & Pet Services Association’s Pet Care Services Educational Conference & Trade Show is now open. The event, which takes place Oct. 2-4 in St. Louis, MO, is dedicated to bringing fresh ideas and smart insight to educate and inspire the owners, managers, and key employees of pet boarding and daycare facilities, pet sitters, veterinarians, groomers, trainers, and more working in the pet care services industry.
