Bright Planet Pet Launches New Flavor & New Partnership with Central Pet Distribution

(PRESS RELEASE) MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Bright Planet Pet, the first company to launch plant-based dog treats that taste and smell like real meat, announces a new product flavor – Better Bac’n – as well as a new distribution contract with Central Pet Distribution to further meet the demand of vegan, sustainable plant based dog treats. The new distribution partnership will increase product availability to independent and regional pet specialty stores across the United States.

Woman-owned and led, Bright Planet was founded in March 2020 on the principle that dogs, and their people, deserve a truly sustainable dog treat that is delicious while being 100% plant-based and vegan. Bright Planet treats are made from sustainable all-natural ingredients, create up to 90% less carbon emissions, use up to 68% less water than comparable meat-based treats, and help pet parents reduce their dog’s carbon pawprint. Furthermore, 1% of all sales are donated to the Eden Reforestation Project helping to further combat climate change.

Original product flavors include Better Burg’r, Better Brat, and Better BBQ Chick’n; Better Bac’n will be available soon. In addition to the original package size, 12oz value packs and 5oz 2-calorie training treats will also be available. All flavors are made with a base of chickpea flour, brown rice, sweet potato, and yeast; they are free-from corn, soy, wheat, and peas.
