(PRESS RELEASE) LOS ANGELES, CA — Dog & Cat Cards, manufacturer of greeting cards and gifts celebrating pets, launched the Holiday Collection, including Christmas greeting cards and Pet Letter to Santa Kits. The sustainably-sourced holiday collection is designed for pet parents to conveniently recognize everyone from their pets’ dog walker to pet sitter during the holidays, and to celebrate the special place pets have within the family.

Recent market research from The Greeting Card Association shares that annual retail sales of greeting cards are estimated between $7 and $8 billion, while 9 out of every 10 households buy greeting cards every year.

Dog & Cat Cards meets pet retailer demand by offering relatable, modern cards for pet parents, individually packaged in cello to protect from customer’s handling. With over 75 SKUs including categories ranging from pet loss sympathy cards to mother’s day, Dog & Cat Cards provides a convenient solution for pet parents on-the-go who are already shopping for their pet. Greeting card retailer displays offer a convenience for customers, while using minimum retail space footprint.

“At Dog & Cat Cards, we are wholeheartedly committed to helping our retailers succeed. Exclusively offered at wholesale, all of our cards and products are designed with this in mind, including packaging and displays”, says Leanne Southall, veterinary technician and founder of Dog & Cat Cards. “From new fresh releases several times each year, to our free media library to share product photos to websites or social media, Dog & Cat Cards work in partnership with our retailers to offer an easy and convenient way for pet parents to recognize the important people in their pets’ lives, while further fostering the relationships their pets have both within and outside of their family.”

The Holiday Collection includes 12 greeting cards – recognizing everyone from the veterinarian to the mailman – and Pet Letter to Santa Kits, which include everything a family needs to write a letter to Santa on their family pet’s behalf; Santa writes back a personalized reply letter – an annual keepsake to cherish. Greeting cards are available for purchase now on the wholesale website. Pet Letter to Santa Kits are shipping in early Fall 2023.

We’ve got a soft spot for the humor of pet parenting, from the milestones to the mishaps. To us, nothing says pet parenting like recognizing the nuances between dogs and cats, or the idiosyncrasies of a dog who hates the rain. Pets are at the heart of our home; celebrating them is what we do.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
