(PRESS RELEASE) LITTLE FALLS, NJ – Having spent more than 35 years practicing veterinary medicine, Longevity Raw Pet Food’s founder, Dr. Gerald Buchoff, is keenly aware of the importance of nutrition and gut health for pet wellness. “Creating the right balance of good and bad bacteria in the digestive tract is a cornerstone of wellness and longevity,” he explains. “The quality and source of beneficial bacteria is vital and we have learned that grassfed green tripe is a powerful source of probiotics as well as essential fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals.”

All varieties of Longevity Raw Pet Food include grassfed beef tripe and now frozen raw Just Green Tripe patties are available as a stand-alone product. “Animals who need additional immune support or who are not eating an entirely raw diet can definitely benefit from adding frozen raw green tripe into their diets,” says Dr. Buchoff. Longevity makes feeding raw simple and more convenient with their patty packs, made up of individually wrapped raw, frozen burger patties. Dr. Buchoff explains that his goal is to make raw feeding appeal to more and more pet parents. “Pet owners are already overwhelmed with an excess of information about pet nutrition. Although many have heard of the benefits of raw food for their pets, they find the task of raw feeding to be daunting. My formulations have been designed and tweaked for more than a decade to ensure that they are balanced, complete, and serve to boost immunity and maximize longevity.”

All Longevity products are locally sourced using the highest quality pastured and grassfed proteins, non-GMO fruits and vegetables, and pet superfoods including raw green tripe and medicinal mushrooms. Longevity has a full line of frozen raw dog food and dehydrated raw dog treats, with frozen raw cat food set to launch in early autumn 2018.

Longevity Raw Pet Food and the new Just Green Tripe patties are available through independent retailers and online at the Longevity website. To learn more about Longevity, visit their website www.drbslongevity.com or follow Longevity on Facebook at www.facebook.com/drbslongevity

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
