Pretend You’re Dead to Get Honest Feedback from Employees

“What if I were dead?”

If you can’t get employees to commit to a decision or offer their honest opinion on a store initiative, ask them to imagine a scenario in which you weren’t around. And if you really want to emphasize the point, lie down on the floor, fold your arms across your chest, close your eyes and ask: “OK, which way would you go?”
