(PRESS RELEASE) Raised Right is introducing new pork and turkey recipes to their line of human-grade pet food, along with a line of single ingredient liver treats.
Raised Right was able to formulate its adult dog recipes to meet AAFCO’s requirements for a complete and balanced diet using only whole foods with no added vitamins and minerals. There are 10 ingredients in the turkey recipe, and only 9 ingredients in the pork recipe.
“Our recipes contain a single source of animal protein and there are no preservatives or high carb fillers like potato, rice, yam, barley, oats, parsnips, corn, or wheat. Since we don’t use any high carb fillers, all our recipes have less than 3.5 percent carbs. As a comparison, most kibble has between 30 percent to 40 percent carbs. On our website, we voluntarily list carbs in our guaranteed analysis for each recipe because this is important information for pet parents with dogs and cats facing a variety of health issues, as well as healthy dogs and cats.” said Braeden Ruud, Raised Right’s co-founder and CEO.
Raised Right also recently launched Meat Bites, which is a line of single-ingredient liver treats that are shelf-stable, preservative-free and traceable to their source. Meat Bites are available in three proteins: beef, turkey, and pork.
“Just like our food, every single batch of our treats is lab safety tested and we have a hold release program where we don’t ever ship our treats unless they pass the lab safety test. For transparency, we post the results of these tests on our website for everyone to see, along with a map tracing each ingredient to its source,” Braeden said.
For a fun sampling of its new products at SuperZoo, Raised Right will be doing “Taco Time” at booth 877 where the company will be serving its Meat Bites as a taco-style shell that is filled with the company’s human-grade pet food. Braeden will be competing against Jessica from Lizzi & Rocco’s Natural Pet Market in a food race to see who can finish their bowl of Raised Right’s human-grade pet food first.

The Ruud’s family’s roots in farming and ranching date back for centuries. Braeden’s mother, Mary Ann, started home-cooking for their family’s pets in 2007 after the massive outbreak of pet food contamination that resulted in the death of thousands of pets. This inspired the Ruud family to create a company that pet parents can trust through placing a strong emphasis on safety and transparency. While raising food for humans, they decided it’s time to start producing the same quality of food for pets.
