(PRESS RELEASE) KNOXVILLE, TN — Huxley & Kent, an industry leader in fun, fashionable and functional pet products, celebrates their company birthday today with the exciting announcement of a winner in their inaugural “Share Your Celebration Station” contest. The contest, which ran from October 1st through November 30th, called on any US and Canada-based retailer to simply submit a photo of their own “Celebration Station” featuring any merchandising display including any Huxley & Kent product(s). Over the two-month period, submissions from coast-to-coast were collected and featured a great variety of product displays for holiday shopping, Halloween and Fall celebrations, pet birthday parties and more.

“We’re thrilled to share our Huxley & Kent birthday celebration today with the announcement of our Grand Prize Winner, The Nautical Dog of Williamsburg, Virginia,” said Huxley & Kent Founder & CEO, Robin Kershner. “Their Halloween display was fabulous and so much fun! Our thanks to everyone who participated in this first-ever retailer contest; it was certainly difficult to select just one winner!”

The Nautical Dog of Williamsburg, Virginia is a locally and family-owned pet store rooted in their community since 2006. NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
