(PRESS RELEASE) SUDBURY, MA – Weruva, Inc. a Natick, MA-based pet food manufacturer has donated more than 700 meals of cat food to Kobe Henro Inc., a Sudbury, MA-based pet food bank. This is Weruva’s second donation in just over two years of partnership.

Kobe Henro was launched in October 2020 to provide donated pet food to local shelters and southern rescue transports. “Weruva has most definitely come through to help and support our mission to fill bowls of hungry pets in need. We are delighted to be able to provide our recipients with some of the finest high-quality pet food on the market”, commented Helaine Block, founder of Kobe Henro, Inc.

Office Manager Nicolas Pantaliano shared, “The opportunity to support Kobe Henro in their mission to provide food to pets in need is a joy for us. We look forward to continued opportunities to support this local pet-focused organization.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
