Weruva International Donates More Than 3,000 Cans of Pet Food to Kobe Henro

This is Weruva’s third donation to the young and expanding nonprofit.

(PRESS RELEASE) Kobe Henro, Inc., a Sudbury-MA based pet food bank was the lucky recipient of an extremely generous donation of over 3,000 meals from Weruva Inc. Since their launch in October 2020, Kobe Henro has hand-delivered over 63,000 pounds of donated pet food to hungry dogs and cats in need. The nonprofit is growing at a steady rate and is extremely grateful for Weruva’s continued support. This is Weruva’s third donation to the young and expanding nonprofit.

“We at Weruva are thrilled to be able to support Kobe Henro in their noble mission of providing food to pets in need. We firmly believe that all furry family members deserve wholesome nutrition, no matter their circumstances. Our own journey began with our owners’ beloved rescue pets, Webster, Rudi, and Vanessa, who are also our namesake. Giving back to rescue pets and the communities we reside in is an integral part of who we are as a family-owned company. We cherish every opportunity to support local pet-focused organizations like Kobe Henro, knowing that together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of pets in need.” commented Nicolas Pantaliano, Weruva’s office manager.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
