(PRESS RELEASE) ORLANDO, FL – The International Boarding & Pet Services Association (IBPSA) announces that its annual FLOW Business Conference will take place from October 1-3, 2023 at Rosen Shingle Creek, a resort in Orlando, Fla. Designed for business owners and decision-makers in the pet care industry – including those who provide pet boarding and day care, grooming, training and dog walking services – the conference provides attendees with a packed schedule of targeted education, trade show access, networking and much more.

“With over 30 high-level, business-oriented conference speakers who are not available to most business owners, FLOW is an invaluable conference for owners, operators, and GMs of pet care facilities – and at an affordable price point,” stated Carmen Rustenbeck, founder and CEO of IBPSA. “When you combine our educational line-up with the spa-like location and add the value of networking with other industry professionals, this is a conference you cannot afford to miss.”

Pre-conference programming will begin on Saturday, September 30, with sessions including “Knowing and Increasing the Value of Your Business” and “Pet CPR & First Aid.” On Sunday, October 1, the conference will officially launch with a keynote session on “Iconic Leadership.” Attendees will then be able to choose from a variety of sessions and workshops each day, with topics ranging from business marketing strategies to staff management to pet health and wellness. FLOW Business Conference sessions are approved for continuing education (CEU) credits by the Professional Animal Care Certification Council (PACCC). In addition to a broad array of educational opportunities, attendees will also have plenty of time for networking and browsing the trade show, which will feature several providers of products and services relevant to the pet care industry.

While attendees do not need to be members of IBPSA, those who are members will receive a discounted rate: ticket prices are $675 for members and $775 for non-members. Tickets include all live event sessions and conference materials (any live sessions that are recorded will be made available to IBPSA members via the IBPSA Members’ Learning Management System), on-site networking events, access to the trade show floor, lunches and refreshments, and prize drawings. The conference also serves as the annual Association Meeting for IBPSA members.

Comprised of owners and managers of pet boarding and day care facilities, groomers, dog walkers, pet sitters, veterinarians, trainers and holistic pet care providers across more than 10 countries, IBPSA is a professional business association that provides business resources, industry expertise, staff education and training, certifications and legislative support to help members become some of the best in the pet care services industry. Developed by veterinarians and industry experts, IBPSA’s staff education and certification programs provide an invaluable base of pet care knowledge for service providers. IBPSA also facilitates and encourages networking opportunities to enable members to gain support and learn from other industry professionals.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
