(PRESS RELEASE) MINNEAPOLIS, MN — Trapking Humane Cat Solutions announces that its founder, Sterling “Trapking” Davis and his long-time cat buddy Nathan the Cat Lady (Nathan Kehn), will be at SuperZoo to meet and greet cat enthusiasts and members of the retail crowd. The kitty lovers are coming to the annual pet trade show in Las Vegas, Nev., as ambassadors for the Colorado-based company, Catalyst Litter.

The pair will be roaming the aisles handing out cool swag, while they entertain and educate people about Catalyst Litter, a high-performing sustainable cat litter engineered from upcycled soft wood fiber. It’s got superior odor control, unrivaled cat acceptance, great clumping, as well as low dust and tracking. Best of all, it’s super lightweight for cat owners to carry! “We’re super excited to partner with Catalyst Pet. Not only are they a great litter that’s awesome for the environment, but they’re active and committed to helping shelters and rescues across the country,” says Davis. “This made it an easy and natural choice to join forces.”

The cat loving duo can’t wait to meet everyone in the pet product industry.

So who are the Trapking and his cat pal Nathan?

As one of the only African American cat rescuers in the nation, Davis has propelled his mission of spaying and neutering feral cats and diversifying the animal industry into the national spotlight. He has been featured on the Drew Barrymore Show, Netflix’s Cat People, the Today Show, the Washington Post, The Dodo and many more. In 2021, he was selected as the ASPCA’s National Cat Advocate of the Year. The Detroit native lives in an RV and travels the world talking about Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), the only way to humanely control cat overpopulation. He is the founder of the nonprofit, Trapking Humane Cat Solutions, which focuses on educating, assisting, and doing TNR and community cat management. Davis’ mission is to change the stereotypes of not only men in cat rescue, but also bridge the gap in communication between black communities and predominantly white animal welfare organizations. He lives and breathes his motto, you don’t lose cool points for compassion.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
