The party was the culmination of a season-long initiative that offered Yankees fans the opportunity to buy tickets to join the party with all proceeds benefiting Pinky Swear Foundation. More than $20,000 was generated by fans who enjoyed the game, unlimited food and drink and visits by former Yankees.

“A child diagnosed with cancer is every parent’s nightmare,” said KLN Family Brands president Charlie Nelson. “A day at the ballpark can be a much-needed break from hospitals, tests and treatments for kids and families. Their courage in the midst of one of the most difficult challenges they will ever have to face is deeply inspiring and humbling.”

KLN Family Brands has committed $1 million to Pinky Swear Foundation. The company also uses its sponsorship with the Yankees to promote the foundation and provides game tickets and batting practice visits throughout the season to kids with cancer and their families.

“We are thankful for the incredible support of our partners at KLN Family Brands and the New York Yankees,” said Erica Campbell, executive director for Pinky Swear Foundation. “This opportunity to connect our amazing All-Star Families with our supporters is really special. And the funds raised will allow Pinky Swear to help even more families.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
