(PRESS RELEASE)  BOZEMAN, MT — During this time of uncertainty West Paw looked for ways to support the success of their business partners. Covid-19 is not only disrupting global health, but also the economy and supply chains. For West Paw, creating a US supply chain hasn’t always been the easiest choice but making their products in the US has been the right choice for our community, for our employees, for the safety of pets and the planet.

For Our Part:

West Paw’s employee’s health and financial wellness are essentials to West Paw. West Paw has extended employees more paid time off to be home with their children during school closures and also during times where our employees or someone in their household is ill. Additionally, West Paw will leverage their flex work schedules for production and office staff to ensure health and promote social distancing. West Paw will do their part to flatten the curve of infections and slow the spread to help us all recover quickly. For retailers, West Paw will continue to ship orders directly from their factory in Bozeman, Montana within one business day.

West Paw continues to make our products here in Bozeman and work to ensure they are sourcing nearly all of their materials in the USA. West Paw is confident in the supply available of the materials they source offshore, mainly textiles, so that they have ample work for their staff and product available to you.

New Swap Program for Retailers:

West Paw is offering a new temporary “Swap Stock” program to help retailers who have gaps on their pegs from products that are stuck in supply chains impacted by the Covid- 19. If a retailer needs to increase purchases of additional product lines, such as their plush toys or mats or beds, West Paw will offer a 100% credit on what doesn’t sell, and retailers can simply return unsold product when a store is able to restock products from your regular suppliers. Their goal with this new program is to ensure retailers are profitable and continue to succeed in serving customers with fully stocked shelves.

How It Works?

Retailers who would like to leverage the Swap Stock program, enter the code SWAPSTOCK20 with your order. If the time comes to return, please contact West Paw’s Customer Service who can then look up the orders with that code and credit your account when product is received back.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
